Today was Ground Hog's Day. Six weeks from today is the vernal equinox, the first day of spring. See your shadow? Six more weeks of winter...the vernal equinox...six weeks away. Coincidence? No really is a complete answer, a viable alternative for any question or request. Creativity blossoms when you give it some attention. Super Bowl Sunday is not just about football. If I sit down and begin to write, the words seem to come. It's the sitting down and beginning to write that doesn't always come. It is so easy to avoid sitting. I thought this would be fun. It is. And, well, it is not. That's a case of opposite thoughts co-existing without canceling each other out. Yes, I know that acting as if leads to no longer acting, but being. It's only difficult if you make it so. Relax and the answer will come into consciousness...if you let it. When I stop, take a breathe, observe and proceed, things tend to go a better than when I don't. Being alone is good sometimes. Being social is good sometimes. Finding a balance is good all the time. The sound of a train, whistling in the night. The rush of the wind in the pines. Remembering my mother's voice. Random thoughts. Meandering musings. Let your mind wander once in a while and just observe. You might be surprised when comes up. Think about it.
